Lisa DiMarino had been involved in different areas of crafting for many years but wanted to find a craft she could lose herself in.  When she learned how to create Nantucket Lightship Baskets, she knew that she had found her passion.  She loves the focus that it takes to make a truly beautiful basket.  Her attention to detail and desire for perfection is always evident in the baskets that she creates.

"I have a vision before I begin each project.  I try to put my own twist to the 'traditional' Nantucket basket style.  I am very selective of the parts that I include throughout the process.  I love working through the details and seeing each piece develop and brought full circle.  It allows me to bring out my creativity."

She has met many artists and made new friends along the way.  Her teacher Brenda Burton of Pelham, NH has been an invaluable mentor in the art of Nantucket Lightship Baskets.  Lisa never would have been able to do this without her continuous help.

In 2015 Lisa expanded her craft and applied her attention to detail to handmade jewelry.

Due to COVID in 2020, Lisa has taken a break from selling her specialty handmade crafts.  This website shows examples of her work.

Lisa lives in Saxonville, MA with her Coton de Tulear named Gracie.
